Kristen started unloading Chan while Emma carried all the brushes to the Guest Stall KSS had waiting for them. Today was particularly beautiful. Kristan entered the stables, Chan acting a bit antsy, and kept throwing his head up. He refused to go in the stall, and almost didn't go in the stables. Kristen stepped in front of her baby boy rubbing him gently between his ears. "What's wrong with ya, boy?", Kristen murmured, patting him softly. Chan snorted, and laid his ears back. "Hey Emma, come here. Somethings up with Chan." Emma peeped out the stall, and walked toward the grumpy boy. "What's wrong with you, Chan? Somethin' up?"
"He's been real nervous since he saw the stables"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, whatcha thinks got in him today?"
Emma thought it over real good, then spoke up.
"He may think he's moving. Chan's been real attached to you lately. And last time he went in a different stable, he stayed there for...since right up til now."
"So you think he believes he's leaving Maple?"
"Perhaps. Just take him in the stall. Put his 'working' halter on to make him think he's going back out."
Kristen nodded and switched out halters. She took him in the stall with no problems, and cleaned him up a good bit.
10 Minuets later...
"Kristen, get ready, you need to be out there in like...30 seconds."
Kristen rolled of of Chan's back, were she had been cat-napping.
"CRUD. Come here Chan.."
Kristen put his show halter on and rushed out, Chan lagging behind her. Yup, today, was gonna be a good day.
